Raised by Grootendorst around 1938, this is a hybrid of E. racemosa and E. korolkowii producing a deciduous shrub to 1.5 m, considerably smaller than either of the parents.
It produces masses of pure white flowers in 100 mm racemes in Spring on a care-free open shrub.
